AEW’s sixth rendition of their Battle of the Belts event kicked off live with Orange Cassidy with Best Friends versus LFI’s Dralistico. As Orange Cassidy approached the ring, he crossed paths with Julia Hart who scowled at Orange.

The announcers were hammering on the fact that Orange Cassidy had 17 straight victories going into this match. Early on, Jose the Assitant got involved in the match which led to Best Friends, Rush, and Preston Vance getting involved as well. The foursome all fought all the way to the back leaving Cassidy, Dralistico, and Jose the Assistant who continued to distract Orange throughout the match. Cassidy prevailed despite the interference to retain via Orange Punch but was selling severe damage to his hand after last week’s punch to Buddy Murphy’s mask.

Malakai Black and Julia Hart appeared on the screen to say they weren’t done with him yet. Buddy Murphy said that they were “gracious enough to put their titles on the line, how about yours?”

Mark Briscoe was interviewed and asked about his loss at ROH Supercard of Honor and he said he was moving forward instead of looking backward. Jay White interrupted and asked if they’ve known each other for twenty years, why aren’t they working together? Mark shook Jay’s hand and suddenly Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh all entered to celebrate with Mark Briscoe looking confused.

Billie Starkz then challenged Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship. The commentary team referred to Starkz as “18-year-old Pro Wrestling Prodigy” and she gave Jade a run for her money in one of the longer title defenses in her run, even briefly reversing Jaded. Cargill won out in the end and Taya Valkyrie came down and brawled with Jade, attempting to hit her with “Road to Valhalla” before Jade escaped the ring.

Alex Marvez entered The Elite’s locker room to find Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa. Cutler said that the Blackpool Combat Club were a bunch of bullies and wondered what someone does when the people who stand up to bullies weren’t here anymore. His answer was to stand tall, not back down, and be elite.” Cutler removed his protective face mask and Nak removed his headset saying “No more”.

Mark Henry interviewed the main event participants:

Lucha Bros defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and QT Marshall with QT taking the pin after QT and his crew did everything they could to cheat to win but Rey Fenix was able to counter QT with a roll-up victory.

Announced for Dynamite Next Week in Milwaukee:

  • Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa
