The first night of this year’s AAA Triplemania took place on Sunday night in Monterrey, Mexico.
In the main event of the show at El Estadio de Béisbol, El Hijo Del Vikingo retained the AAA Mega Heavyweight title.
In a fatal four-way title match, he defeated IMPACT Wrestling’s Rich Swann, AEW’s Swerve Strickland and Komander. Komander took the pin after Vikingo delivered a 630 splash.
Elsewhere on the card, Myzteziz Jr defeated Argenis in a mask-versus-mask match.
Alberto El Patron & Pentagon Jr won their first-round match in the Guerra de Rivalidades tournament over Psycho Clown and Sam Adonis.
However, the stipulation was that the losers advance. Clown and Adonis will meet LA Park and Rush in the finals at Triplemania Tijuana on July 15th. The latter pair lost their match with DMT Azul and Blue Demon Jr.
