AEW Rampage continues to get bounced around on TNT with its viewership figures taking a hit, as a result.
The April 28th edition averaged 298,000 viewers and approximately 117,000 (0.09) in the 18-49 demographic. (Showbuzz Daily and Wrestlenomics)
The show aired at a special time of 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday. It was advertised for a 5:30 p.m. start time throughout the week, including all over Dynamite, before it was changed again the day prior.
The show ranked #32 among cable originals on Friday with Rampage falling 25 percent in viewership and 20 percent in the 18-49 from the previous week’s episode that aired on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET.
While Rampage avoided airing against the NBA playoffs, the last half of the show aired against coverage of the NFL Draft on ABC and ESPN, which did 2.7 million viewers and 0.54 in the demo on the network, and 2.8 million and 0.95 on ESPN from 7-8 p.m. ET.
Rampage also aired against the first 24 minutes of coverage of the NHL playoffs on TBS, which averaged 647,000 and 0.20 in the demo.
This was Rampage’s lowest performance since February 17 when a 7 p.m. ET airing averaged 287,000 and 0.07 in the demo.
Rampage was taped two nights earlier in Sunrise, Florida, and included a main event between Cash Wheeler and Jay Lethal.
This week’s episode of Rampage is scheduled to air on Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET and the following week’s show is slated for Saturday, May 13 at 10 p.m. ET on TNT due to ongoing coverage of the NHL playoffs.
