The case was resolved in Tampa, Florida.

In August 2020, it was made public that Phillip A. Thomas broke into the Florida home of Daria Berenato, also known as Sonya Deville of WWE. Thomas was arrested on charges of kidnapping and had been planning the abduction for months.

When he arrived to Berenato’s home, he had a knife, plastic zip ties, duct tape, mace and other items. He drove from South Carolina to Berenato’s home.

Three years later, the court case has been resolved via FOX 13 Tampa Bay. Judge Barbara Twine-Thomas accepted a plea agreement. Thomas pled guilty to kidnapping, aggravated stalking and armed burglary charges. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison which is going to be followed by 15 years of probation.

At the time of the break-in, former WWE talent Amanda Saccomanno (Mandy Rose) was in the home with Berenato.
