WWE NXT notes: Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre taking tag titles to every brand, Dyad vs. Gallus, Wembley Stadium mentioned, Dragon Lee

The NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships were on the line as the current champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre successfully defended against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. Dawn and Fyre are heading to SmackDown and Kayden and Katana are headed to Raw via the 2023 WWE Draft. Prior to their title match, Dawn & Fyre stated that they would be taking the titles to SmackDown, Raw and NXT. 

There is going to be an NXT Tag Title match on 5/9 when Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) defends against The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid). The Dyad secured the opportunity when Joe Gacy defeated Joe Coffey in singles competition. Both Fowler and Reid went public about requesting their releases from WWE and their contracts expiring in October. 

Wembley Stadium was mentioned during Von Wagner and Robert Stone’s segment. Wagner’s father, Wayne Bloom (Beau Beverly), competed for the WWF Tag Titles at SummerSlam 1992 in Wembley. The presale for tickets to AEW All In at Wembley began today

Dragon Lee suffered his first singles loss in WWE and it was to J.D. McDonagh, who is moving to the Raw brand. Noam Dar diverted Lee’s attention which caused him to lose the match. Lee went after Dar following his loss.

A singles match between Axiom and Scrypts took place and Axiom got the win. He attempted to shake Scrypts’ hand after the match but they ended up exchanging punches. Axiom went on to unmask Scrypts. The character was being portrayed by Reggie. 

For the eighth time, Wes Lee successfully defended the North American Championship. He picked up a win over Drew Gulak. Tyler Bate, who accompanied Wes to the ring to offset Charlie Dempsey, eyed the North American Title several times. 

Before Dani Palmer’s NXT on USA debut, she was on FaceTime with Sol Ruca, who underwent surgery for an ACL injury. Palmer scored a win over Tatum Paxley. 

After Jacy Jayne bested Gigi Dolin in singles competition, she continued to beat her down in front of her brother. 

Scheduled for 5/9 is a singles match between Bron Breakker and Trick Williams. Breakker is challenging Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at Battleground.
