Brock Lesnar costs Cody Rhodes match in World Title tourney, challenges Rhodes to a fight at WWE Night of Champions

Lesnar is not done with Rhodes.

Headlining WWE’s Backlash Premium Live Event was Cody Rhodes versus Brock Lesnar. Rhodes was able to sneak a pinfall victory over Lesnar and on the 5/8 Monday Night Raw, Lesnar took Rhodes out.

Cody competed in the tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship and was in a Triple Threat with The Miz and Finn Bálor. After Rhodes hit Miz with the Cross Rhodes and went for the pin, he was pulled out of the ring by Lesnar and F5’d through a table. Bálor won the match by pinning Miz.

Lesnar would go on to issue a challenge to Rhodes for a ‘fight’ on May 27th at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in the night, Seth Rollins emerged victorious from a Triple Threat involving Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest. He’ll meet Bálor in the tournament semifinal to determine who moves on to Night of Champions.
