The Saturday night airing on AEW Rampage led to the show’s lowest viewership ever.
The May 13 episode of Rampage, which aired at 10 p.m. ET on TNT averaged 284,000 viewers and approximately 94,000 (0.07) in the 18-49 demographic. (Showbuzz Daily and Wrestlenomics)
The show fell three percent in viewership from last week’s episode that aired on a Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET and dropped by 22 percent in the key demo.
This was Rampage’s lowest viewership ever since the show launched in August 2021 and second lowest 18-49 audience with the lowest occurring on Feb. 17, 2023, for a show that aired on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
The last time Rampage aired on Saturday night at 10 p.m. was on April 22 with the show averaging 371,000 viewers and 0.12 in the demo.
In the 18-49 demo, the female audience plunged by 43.5 percent from last Friday’s episode and fell by 17 percent among men in the demo.
Adults 18-34 dropped by 60 percent along with massive drops among the 12-34 demographic.
It was the older audience that found the show in higher frequency as adults 35-49 only saw a six percent decrease while adults 50+ actually grew by 14 percent from last Friday.
Rampage ranked #46 among cable originals but still managed to rank sixth in its time slot behind Top Rank Boxing on ESPN, On Patrol Live, Liga MX soccer on TUDN & Fox Deportes, House Hunters International, and Ancient Aliens.
Rampage was headlined by Swerve Strickland & Brian Cage beating John Silver & Alex Reynolds and included an appearance by The Hardys with Isiah Kassidy.
Rampage won’t be returning to its normal Friday slot any time soon with this week’s show airing on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET and the following week’s show set for late Saturday, May 27 at Midnight on TNT.
Over the past four weeks, Rampage has averaged 312,000 viewers and 0.09 in the demo outside its normal time slot due to the NHL playoffs.
