Wes Lee opts to put his title on the line in a Triple Threat.
Going into tonight’s NXT on USA Network, North American Champion Wes Lee and Tyler Bate were scheduled to take on Charlie Dempsey and Drew Gulak. That match was scrapped after The Schism ambushed Bate and Wes.
After checking on Bate in the trainer’s room, Wes went to the ring to call out Joe Gacy and said if he wanted a title opportunity, all he had to do was ask and Gacy then issued the challenge for Battleground.
Tyler Bate came out to the ring and expressed that although he’s friends with Wes, he wants to challenge for the North American Title. When asked to decide who gets the title shot, Wes said he’ll put the belt on the line in a Triple Threat.

- Vacant NXT Women’s Championship Tournament Final: TBD vs. TBD
- NXT Heritage Cup: Noam Dar (c) vs. Dragon Lee
- NXT North American Championship — Triple Threat Match: Wes Lee (c) vs. Tyler Bate vs. Joe Gacy
