United States Championship

Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with Sheamus challenging Austin Theory for the United States Championship. The pair had a fairly long, competitive match. The finish saw Pretty Deadly jump The Brawling Brutes causing Sheamus to get distracted and allowing Theory to roll up Sheamus for the victory in just over twelve minutes. After the match, Sheamus chased Pretty Deadly off.

The Bloodline Beguine

The Bloodline was shown in the back. Paul Heyman said that The Usos were invited to the 1000 Day Celebration next week on Smackdown. Roman said he wanted the whole family there, especially Jey. Jimmy got annoyed and went to leave but Roman told him to sit down and he didn’t. Roman got in Jimmy’s face and said “do something” and that he “whooped” him when they were kids and would whoop him now. Reigns told him to get out of the locker room.

New Partners

Raquel Rodriguez and her new replacement partner Shotzi took on Damage CTRL’s Bayley and Io Sky. Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi won after a bit of a sloppy finish. Bayley and Io Sky argued after the match.

Promos Galore

Two back-to-back video packages aired highlighting AJ Styles and Seth Rollins individually.

Later in the show, a package featuring Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre aired with them saying they were bringing their NXT Tag Team titles to Smackdown.

Corbin’s Revenge

Cameron Grimes defeated Ashante “Thee” Adonis in just over two minutes, despite Top Dolla getting involved in the match. After Grimes won, Baron Corbin attacked him from behind and left him laying after last week’s embarrassing loss.

Belair & Asuka

Bianca Belair came down to the ring and said that this Asuka is different and she wants more than just her title. Bianca recounted the fact that Asuka has misted her twice over the last few weeks. Asuka jumped Belair from behind and attempted to put her in the armbar before WWE officials pulled them apart.

Knight Boogs

Former tag team partners for one single match were now facing off one on one when LA Knight took on Rick Boogs. The Street Profits came out before the match started and joined Cole & Barrett on commentary. Early in the match, Boogs pressed Knight above his head then down into the announce table to which Street Profits screamed “he’s boogin’ out!”. Knight won with the BFT and then got on the mic and threatened Street Profits saying they would get smoked.

Kross Gets Styled

AJ Styles took on Karrion Kross and early in the match Michin came down to the ring and chased Scarlett to the back. AJ Styles won with the Phenomenal Forearm in under ten minutes.

The Heart of the Table

The main event of the evening was The Kevin Owens Show with Sami Zayn welcoming their guests/opponents Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Paul Heyman came out and explained to Owens & Zayn that the Tribal Chief only comes to the ring when he wants to come out, but The Usos interrupted and stormed down to the ring. Owens said that Jimmy & Jey were actually the ones he wanted to talk to. Owens said that Sami Zayn has been right about everything the whole time – that Reigns mistreats The Usos and that they deserve better and that they are “The Heart of the Table” but Reigns treats them like The Appendix of the Table.

Jimmy then called The Usos the best damn tag team in the world and Jimmy called himself “The Tribal Chief” which finally brought out Roman Reigns who got into Jimmy’s face and threw both Usos’ microphones down. Sami Zayn said, “Hey Roman, you know it’s over right? The Bloodline is collapsing and it’s all your fault”. Owens hit a Stunner on Reigns and a brawl ensued with Solo Sikoa running out and hitting Somoan Spikes on Zayn & Owens. Reigns then recovered and speared Zayn. Jey Uso then presented the tag belts to Solo and Jimmy was about to do the same to Reigns when he paused. Jey then forcibly took the titles from Jimmy and presented them to Reigns who held all four above his head to end the segment with Jimmy refusing to pose with the rest of the group
