The tournament was arranged after injury and a main roster move forced Indi Hartwell to vacate the title on the May 2nd edition of NXT.
Tiffany Stratton defeated Gigi Dolin in the first round, and Roxanne Perez in the semi-finals. Lyra Valkyria reached the finals after defeating Kiana James in the first round, and then Cora Jade in the semis.
Stratton’s win marks the 24-year-old’s first championship reign. The former gymnast, real name Jessica Woynilko, first reported to the WWE Performance Center in August 2021.
