Corbin returned to NXT and took out the champion.
Closing out the May 30th episode of WWE NXT was Carmelo Hayes defending the NXT Championship against Noam Dar. The match was made official earlier in the show when the Heritage Cup Champion issued the challenge.
Hayes is fresh off of defending the title against Bron Breakker at Battleground and he was able to have another successful title defense by besting Dar.
As Carmelo was celebrating his win, he was taken out by Baron Corbin. Corbin laid out Hayes and held up the NXT Championship.
