Court Bauer gives a comment on the suit.

The latest on the amended lawsuit that MLW filed against WWE is that the scheduled hearing on WWE’s motion to dismiss the suit has been moved up to June 15th, per PWInsider

MLW filed an antitrust lawsuit in January 2022 and this past February, it was dismissed. MLW had 21 days to amend the complaint and they filed their amended suit in early March.

Court Bauer, CEO of MLW joined The Business of the Business podcast and was asked for a comment about the lawsuit. He said the judge told MLW’s side that they needed to beef up aspects of their case. Bauer felt that was an encouraging sign. If they move forward, he said he’s ‘sharpening his fork and knife for discovery’.

You’re trying to get me into trouble (Bauer jokingly said when asked about the MLW/WWE lawsuit). I’ll say this, there’s really not gonna be any news on this I guess until mid-summer. But, it’s a process… The judge had the right to just dismiss the case and say peace out. What he did is he said, ‘You need to beef up some of these aspects of your case. Please resubmit,’ which I thought was an encouraging sign. I’m no lawyer. I just play one on MLW TV and my name is Court but, it’s something that you say, okay and hopefully we did our job. He asked us to resubmit our homework, we did and hopefully we’ve satisfied his needs to move forward and if we move forward, I am sharpening my fork and knife for discovery.

MLW is bringing back their live specials starting on July 8th with the ‘Never Say Never’ event that is airing on FITE+. Headlining is Alex Kane challenging Hammerstone for the World Heavyweight Title
