Ali is back in NXT and is scheduled to take on Joe Gacy.
The fallout from NXT Battleground took place on the May 30th WWE NXT on USA Network. During the program, Mustafa Ali arrived and joined commentary.
After Tyler Bate and North American Champion Wes Lee bested The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler), Joe Gacy made his way into the ring and took out Bate and Lee. Mustafa Ali, who is a ‘free agent’, removed Gacy from the ring and it is now official that they’ll go one-on-one on 6/6.
Ali competed at WWE Night of Champions and challenged GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship.
At the conclusion of the 5/30 NXT, Baron Corbin returned to the brand and ambushed NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.
