For a full year, GUNTHER has reigned as WWE Intercontinental Champion. He has not lost a televised singles match since being called up to the main roster in April of 2022.
While on Evan T. Mack’s Kick Rocks Podcast, GUNTHER further commented on his name change and as he was speaking about it, he expressed that he feels the GUNTHER presentation has done more for him than ‘WALTER’ ever did.
Looking back at it, I think GUNTHER made me more credit — more success for me than WALTER ever did even though I spent most of my career as WALTER. There was the fundamental work I had to do and now, I’m in the bright lights more or less.
GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci are engaged in a program with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Kaiser and GUNTHER lost a tag title match to the champions on this week’s Raw.
