WWE will return to Pittsburgh in September for a premium live event the month after SummerSlam.
A press release was issued on Friday confirming that Payback is set for the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 2.
The event takes place one month after SummerSlam and is the first pay-per-view/premium live event in Pittsburgh since Extreme Rules in July 2018, which included a 30-minute Ironman match between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler.
It is not confirmed yet if AEW will be running its annual Labor Day All Out event that same weekend. In a recent interview, AEW executive Megha Parekh had stated they would be returning from London, England with All Out the following weekend.
Tickets for Payback go on sale Friday, June 27.
