Rampage kicked off with Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, and Kyle Fletcher taking on Rocky Romero, Chuck Taylor, and Trent Beretta. Will Ospreay picked up the victory after a fun, competitive match with the Hidden Blade.

Taya vs. Trish

Taya Valkyrie defeated Trish Adora in under four minutes. Taya’s chyron when coming down to the ring said “focused on winning the TBS Championship from Kris Statlander”. Later in the show, Taya was interviewed by Lexy Nair and was interrupted by Kris Statlander. Taya said she did all the work but Kris took the title. Statlander said she would face Taya next week in an Open Challenge (but no match was announced officially yet).

Lexy Nair with The Hardys

Matt Hardy said that it will be The Hardys vs. The Gunns on Dynamite next week and 25 years ago they beat their daddy and now they’ll beat them. He continued that beating The Gunns will be their stepping stone to winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships and hitting their fourth decade of championship runs.

Aubrey Edwards’ Wrestling Debut

Mark Briscoe, Papa Briscoe, and Aubrey Edwards took on Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and Karen Jarrett. Aubrey came out with a sleeveless, bedazzled version of the AEW ref shirt. Aubrey attempted to hit Karen Jarrett with Jeff’s guitar but was stopped by Jay Lethal. Lethal then got the guitar shot from Aubrey leading to Aubrey applying the Figure Four to Karen Jarrett who immediately tapped out.

Don Callis & Takeshita interrupted Mark Henry’s typical main event calling Takeshita “El Hijo de Don Callis”.

“That’s right, I said it: (Takeshita) is the NEW God of Pro-Wrestling!”
