Chase University is reunited.
Kicking off week two of NXT Gold Rush was Tiffany Stratton defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail.
Stratton was able to defeat Thea with a roll up. Prior to that, Thea grew upset with Charlie Dempsey and Drew Gulak who were in her corner alongside Duke Hudson. While Hail had Stratton in a submission, Dempsey pulled the rope away but Hail did not want to win in that matter.
Gulak got into a argument with the referee and while that was happening, Hail had Stratton tapping out to a double wrist lock. When Hail went over to get the referee’s attention, Stratton rolled up her in a deep pin for the win.
Post-match, Dempsey and Gulak attacked Duke which led to the return of Andre Chase. Chase had been sidelined since being taken out by Bron Breakker.
