Tony Khan has announced CM Punk’s role for Saturday’s edition of AEW Collision as “special guest commentator” for Roderick Strong vs. Samoa Joe.
The match is an Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament quarterfinal. It is set for a Thursday night taping at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario.
Punk had been featured in local advertising for the taping but had not been announced for the show in any capacity as of the June 28th episode of AEW Dynamite.
Tony Khan made the announcement on Twitter around the time the taping got underway.

The taped show will be broadcast on Saturday at 8 pm ET on TBS.
