Drew McIntyre made a surprise return at WWE Money in the Bank, attacking Gunther to stake a claim to the Intercontinental Championship.

McIntyre appeared after Gunther had successfully defended the IC Title against Matt Riddle.

The two faced off, with McIntyre getting the better of Gunther after delivering a Glasgow Kiss and a Claymore.
