Friday Night SmackDown from the O2 Arena saw the show do another huge viewership figure, highlighted by The Bloodline.
The June 30 ‘go-home’ show before Money in the Bank averaged 2,510,000 viewers and 897,000 (0.69) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
It was the show’s largest number since the June 2 episode that featured the 1000-day celebration of Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship reign.
SmackDown increased by 7% in viewership and 14% in the 18-49 demographic from the previous week’s episode. Males increased by 18% in the key demo with females increasing by 8%.
In the 18-34 demographic, the audience was up by 11% with males actually dropping by 3% from last week while women were way up with a 42% increase from last week.
It was the opposite with Adults 35-49, which grew by 15% (which would be their largest audience in that demo all year). In the 35-49, it was an all-male increase of 28% from last week to offset females in the demo dropping by 4%.
Due to Canada Day, ratings in the country are delayed this week and we will have them in the coming days.
The major segment of the night on SmackDown was the closing segment involving Roman Reigns and The Usos, which grew to 2,757,000 viewers and 1,033,000 in the 18-49 demo, according to Thurston’s quarter-hour breakdown. The second largest quarter of the night was the ending of Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and Pretty Deadly in the first hour.
