New STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions crowned at NJPW Independence Day

BULLET CLUB War Dogs obtain the titles.

Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan is playing host to nights one and two of NJPW STRONG Independence Day. It is the first time the STRONG brand has run a show in Japan and there was a title change on night one.

YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto put their STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles on the line against BULLET CLUB War Dogs’ Alex Coughlin and Gabriel Kidd. It was Kidd and Coughlin walking away with the titles in the end.

Bishamon were double champions and are in possession of the IWGP Tag Team Championships. On night two of Independence Day, they’ll put those titles on the line against Kidd and Coughlin.
