Trevor Murdoch reveals he was interviewed for Dark Side of the Ring episode on Harley Race

Murdoch says if it was supposed to be a secret, he wasn’t told to keep it to himself.

VICE’s Dark Side of the Ring is in the midst of its fourth season. The next episode is airing on July 11th and it is centered around Adrian Adonis, who passed away at age 34.

Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch guest appeared on Bobby Fish’s Undisputed Podcast and shared that he was interviewed for a Dark Side of the Ring episode on his trainer, the late Harley Race.

Murdoch started off by mentioning that he might be part of a reality show and then shared the note about being interviewed for Dark Side of the Ring. He added that ‘if things go right’ in 2024, there should be an episode about Harley.

I might be a part of a reality show coming up soon. I don’t wanna, you know, throw out too much. Gotta get a little signature, waiting for a little signature, you know? But, also, I did do an interview for Dark Side of the Ring for Harley (Race) a couple weeks ago. So next year if things go right, there should be an episode of Dark Side of the Ring on Harley. If it was supposed to be kayfabed, I wasn’t told (he laughed).

Murdoch is a member of the National Wrestling Alliance and confirmed that he is under a deal with the organization. He spoke about how much he loves his schedule and joked that all he has to do is not upset NWA President Billy Corgan.

I’m really lucky in the fact that I’m on a deal with NWA. We do taped shows, so we’ll tape five and six shows in one lap which means I go out for two or three days and then I get to come home for three-and-a-half, maybe four weeks sometimes and you know as well as I do Bobby (Fish), having children and being able to make a good wrestling paycheck and still be able to kind of be on the heartbeat of things is really hard to do, and brother, I’ve got the perfect setup here. I’m so happy with the way things are going and if I could just not piss off Billy Corgan then I’ll be alright.

Over the weekend, NWA held their latest television taping and will begin rolling out new episodes of Powerrr on YouTube.
