WWE to return to Saudi Arabia in November

WWE will return to Saudi Arabia in November.

Wrestlenomics was the first to report that the promotion’s second premium live event of 2023 will take place on Saturday, November 4, which was confirmed to POST Wrestling.

The event will be sandwiched between Fast Lane on October 7 and the Survivor Series on November 25.

This past May, the company staged the Night of Champions show from the Jeddah Superdome as part of its ten-year agreement with the Government of Saudi Arabia.

The pact began in 2018 and was adjusted the following year to include two events per year with a reported value of approximately $50 million per event that WWE is paid.

Since the agreement, WWE has faced criticism for being in business with the country due to its poor human rights abuses and for running an event one month after the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

Investigative reporter Karim Zidan was a guest on Pollock & Thurston earlier this year to discuss the WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia
