NXT experienced the bounce-back effect from last week’s episode that aired on the 4th of July holiday.

The July 11 episode averaged 671,000 viewers and 256,000 (0.20) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

NXT’s audience was up by 32% from last week and up by 8% from the ‘Gold Rush’ episode two weeks ago.

In the 18-49 demographic, this week’s show increased by 54% from last week and 16% from two weeks ago.

It was the show’s third-largest audience of the year behind the June 20 episode with Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker and the New Year’s Evil special on January 10. In the 18-49 demo, this was the second biggest number of the year behind the June 20 episode.

Adults 18-34 rose by 30% this week but declined 15% from two weeks ago. In a surprising stat, males in the 18-34 demo dropped from last week’s holiday episode by 7% and were down by 40% from two weeks ago. Females in the demo increased from 15,000 last week to 36,000.

Adults 35-49 grew by 69% from last week, which was due to men in the demo going from 61,000 to 129,000 this week (which is a massive number for NXT and edged out the June 20 episode by 1,000 viewers and you would likely attribute that to the Judgment Day being on the show this week).

The numbers between NXT and this past Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision were similar with Collision averaging 580,000 viewers and 279,000 (0.21) in the demo.

Collision beat out NXT in 18-49 (279,000 to 256,000), and 18-34 (106,000 to 79,000) while NXT was higher among 35-49 (177,000 to 173,000).

In Canada, NXT averaged approximately 78,000 viewers and 36,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. While the show did not rank among the top ten sports programs on Wednesday, it was NXT’s most-watched episode in the country since March 29.

Dark Side of the Ring returned after a week off with The Tragic Fall of Adrian Adonis averaging 152,000 viewers and 56,000 (0.04) in the 18-49 demographic. (Wrestlenomics)

It was the least-watched episode of the current season and the second lowest in the 18-49 demo.

The week off likely hurt the show, which fell 34% in viewers and 29% in the 18-49 demo from the episode on Junkyard Dog two weeks ago.

It also dropped by 33% with adults 18-34 and down by 28% with adults 35-49.

There are four more episodes remaining in season four with shows focusing on Bash at the Beach 2000, Abdullah the Butcher, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Marty Jannetty.
