*IMPACT Championship: Alex Shelley © over Nick Aldis in 16:31

The event from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario was highlighted by the main event where Alex Shelley was the only champion to successfully defend his title on the card. Shelley defeated Nick Aldis after working on the challenger’s hand and evading multiple attempts by Aldis to use the title belt as a weapon. After executing a DDT to Aldis on top of the belt, Aldis bled and was struck with a superkick and Shell Shock as Shelley retained the championship.

The post-match featured the return of Josh Alexander, who relinquished the IMPACT Championship in March when he suffered a torn triceps injury.

Alexander entered the ring with Shelley and announced, “I’m back” as the show ended.

Prior to the main event, Trinity became the Knockouts Champion by becoming the first person to submit Deonna Purrazzo in the company when she locked on Starstruck.

The win ends Purrazzo’s third reign with the championship, which began back in April at the Rebellion event where she beat Jordynne Grace to win the vacant title.

The match saw Purrazzo work on Trinity’s left arm from the beginning and attempt the Fujiwara armbar multiple times. The highlights included a Queen’s Gambit by Purrazzo on the edge of the apron and Trinity kicking out to a loud reaction. Trinity blocked an attempt at the Queen’s Gambit off the turnbuckle to hit an Atomic Splash and lock on the submission to win the match and title.

Eric Young made his return to IMPACT as the mystery partner for Scott D’Amore, replacing PCO.

Young was last seen in a segment on IMPACT where it was left for the audience to believe that he was murdered by Deaner, but he’s alive. Young and D’Amore won the match, which included the audience spontaneously singing the Canadian national anthem mid-match and Bully Ray getting in the face of D’Amore’s mother in the front row.

The match also saw a cameo by A1 (Alastair Ralphs, formerly of Team Canada), who was seated in the front row and removed Kon from the ring when he interfered. D’Amore hit the Canadian Destroyer on Deaner and Young followed with an elbow drop and pinned Deaner.

The big spot was a double-team choke slam by D’Amore with special enforcer Darren McCarty and putting Bully Ray through a table.

The other title changes included Lio Rush winning the X Division Championship from Chris Sabin in a quick match, Subculture winning the IMPACT tag titles in a four-way match, Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly beating The Coven for the Knockouts tag titles, and Kenny King beating Joe Hendry for the Digital Media Championship with help from Sheldon Jean on the pre-show.

IMPACT returns with the Slammiversary Fallout set of television tapings on Sunday at St. Clair College in Windsor.
