The second night of the 2023 G1 Climax was also the promotion’s second night in Hokkaido as the tournament started for the C Block and D Block competitors.

Sunday’s matches included AEW’s Eddie Kingston in his first contest of the tournament.

Kingston got off to a winning start, beating one of the C Block favorites, Shingo Takagi.

It was a hard-hitting match, marked by the story of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. He finally finished Takagi with a Northern Lights Bomb.

Elsewhere, a new-look Aaron Henare lost a physical encounter with Mikey Nicholls. Henare appeared with a mataora — a traditional Māori facial tattoo, which was covered at the G1 press conference.

EVIL vs. Tama Tonga was marked by House of Torture shenanigans as Dick Togo got involved multiple times, leading to a win for EVIL.

Tetsuya Naito faced Jeff Cobb in the main event, which was another hard-hitting affair, with a lot of action outside the ring. In the end, Cobb emerged victorious.
