Willow Nightingale challenging Athena for ROH Women’s World Title at Death Before Dishonor

New title bout added to the lineup. 

The July 15th edition of AEW Collision featured the men’s and women’s finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. On the women’s side, Willow Nightingale defeated current ROH Women’s World Champion Athena to win the tournament. 

With that victory, Nightingale and Athena are now 1-1 in singles matches. It has been confirmed by AEW/ROH President Tony Khan that come Death Before Dishonor, the two talents will meet again with the ROH Women’s Championship on the line. 

Death Before Dishonor is scheduled to take place July 21st and as of this writing, here’s the updated match card: 

  • ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. TBA
  • ROH World Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. TBD
  • ROH Pure Championship — Pure Rules Match: Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
  • ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Willow Nightingale
