Lesnar beat Rhodes down in his home-state.
Kicking off the July 17th episode of Monday Night Raw was Cody Rhodes. Raw is emanating from Rhodes’ home-state of Georgia in the city of Atlanta.
Rhodes spoke about his sister Teil and mother who were front row and then went on to call out Brock Lesnar. Rhodes previously called Lesnar out for a match at SummerSlam.
When Lesnar’s music hit for the second time and he did not come out, Rhodes went to the backstage area but was met by Lesnar who beat him down in front of his family. Lesnar then accepted the SummerSlam challenge.

Rhodes versus Lesnar is the first match announcement for SummerSlam on August 5th.
