TRAILER: “American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes

Peacock has released the trailer for an upcoming documentary on Cody Rhodes that is set to premiere later this month.

“American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes” will be released on Monday, July 31 on the U.S.-streaming service and telling the story of Rhodes and his return to WWE in 2022.

Those interviewed include Rhodes and his wife Brandi, Paul Levesque, The Undertaker, Ric Flair, and Kevin Owens.  

Rhodes began his involvement with the wrestling industry working on his father Dusty Rhodes’ Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling cards in the early 2000s and reported to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006.

After inducting his father into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, he was brought up to the main roster and quickly paired with Bob Holly as a team.

His first tenure with the company lasted through 2016 when he requested and received his release as he embarked on the independent scene while becoming a major star in Ring of Honor and abroad before being one of the building blocks of AEW in 2019.

After ending his contract with AEW, he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium where he defeated Seth Rollins.
