Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo are the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

The titles were on the line in the opening match of Sunday night’s Great American Bash from the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas.

D’Angelo and Lorenzo’s victory brings to an end a 176-day run with the titles for Mark Coffey and Wolfgang.

Gallus won the titles from The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in a fatal four-way match at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4th, 2023. They made six successful title defenses.

Gallus and “The Family” have been feuding for weeks. In the on-screen storyline, Mark Coffey, his brother Joe and Wolfgang snitched on Tony D’Angelo, leading to his imprisonment. They also framed Stacks as the informant.

The storyline culminated in a match between Joe Coffey and Stacks, with D’Angelo’s freedom and tonight’s title shot on the line.

The finish of the match saw The Family hit the Bada Boom Bada Bing on Wolfgang for the pinfall. It is the first time either D’Angelo or Lorenzo have held an NXT title.
