Ibushi says he’ll definitely be able to manage for his match on 8/4.
GLEAT held a press conference on August 3rd ahead of their show on 8/4 at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall. Among the talents scheduled for the show is Kota Ibushi. He’ll be part of a 10-man tag and is going to team with Shuji Ishikawa, Daisuke Sekimoto, Hagane Shinno and Yumehito Imanari.
Ibushi took to Twitter and shared that he’s currently dealing with tonsillitis, which is inflammation of the tonsils.
He came down with a fever and was not able to make the press conference. He added that he’ll be able to manage for the match.

In mid-July, Ibushi made his AEW debut as a part of the Blood & Guts match. The Golden Elite (Ibushi, Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) got the win over Konosuke Takeshita, PAC, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.
