LA Knight says when he came back to WWE, he told them ‘get me out’ if they felt he wasn’t over after three months

Knight was confident in himself. 

One of 20 participants in the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event is L.A. Knight. 

Knight has been back in WWE for several years. He returned to the company as a part of the NXT brand at TakeOver: Vengeance Day in 2021. Going into SummerSlam, Knight sat down with Busted Open Radio’s Dave LaGreca and shared that when he came back, he told the company if they felt he was not over after three months, get him out of there. 

When I first came back in 2021, I said, ‘Look, here’s the deal,’ I said, ‘If you feel like I’m not getting over after three months, get me out of there.’ That’s how confident I was that just in a short amount of time, I’m gonna make this happen. I know how to do this. I’ve been around it long enough to make that happen and you know, I had a little more help in NXT at least as far as billing and the way I was kind of used and whatnot. It’s been a little bit more of a struggle up here but somehow, some way, here we are.

Knight is scheduled for singles competition against Sheamus on Friday Night SmackDown.
