AEW’s second Parking Lot Fight led to Rampage seeing a spike from its normal range of viewership.

The August 4 episode averaged 434,000 viewers and 181,000 (0.14) in the 18-49 demographic on TNT – increases of 34% in viewers and 41% in the demo from last week’s numbers. (Data: Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics)

It was Rampage’s highest viewership since June 30 and largest 18-48 audience since April 14 (which had a sizable lead-in audience from the NBA).

The key to Rampage’s success was the spike in male viewers with males in the 18-49 nearly doubling from 67,000 last week to 133,000 this week. Males 18-34 grew 131% this week to 37,000 viewers and males in the 35-49 demo increased by 90% to 97,000.

Female viewership did not see the same results with women in the 18-49 declining by 21% from last week and women 35-49 falling by 58%. The trend was offset by a 33% increase among women in the 18-34 age group.

It was Rampage’s largest 18-34 audience since April with a 73% uptick over last week’s average.

According to Wrestlenomics, the peak quarter for viewers was the opening fifteen minutes that averaged 456,000 viewers, and the high point in the 18-49 demo was for the final quarter featuring the Parking Lot Fight, although the demo was very consistent throughout the hour-long show, ranging from 178,000 to 184,000.
