Ronda Rousey appears to have confirmed her latest run with WWE is over.

She commented on the situation on Monday after losing an “MMA Rules” match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam.

In a brief message on Instagram, Rousey directly addressed Baszler:

You were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay

Rousey began making guest appearances with WWE in 2014 when she appeared in the front row at SummerSlam.

She got involved in an in-ring angle with Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 in a segment that also involved HHH and The Rock.

After signing with the company in 2017, Rousey began appearing on WWE television, leading to her first match at WrestleMania 34. At that event, she won a mixed tag match with her partner Kurt Angle, taking on Stephanie McMahon and HHH.

She won her first title at SummerSlam 2018, defeating Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship. She also held the SmackDown Women’s Title twice during her tenure with WWE.

Rousey took a hiatus after WrestleMania 35, returning at the Royal Rumble in 2022.

The former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and Olympic judo medalist retired from MMA in 2016. She became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
