Jericho revisits matches with Orange Cassidy and Nick Gage.

The newest episode of Talk Is Jericho was a look back at Chris Jericho’s favorite matches that he’s had on AEW Dynamite as the show celebrated 200 episodes on August 2nd

Jericho reflected on the No Rules match he had against Nick Gage at AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen 2021. He shared that when he took the light tube to the head, he did not feel good afterwards. Jericho added that he was nervous about going to sleep out of fear that he may have been concussed.

Man, did we (Jericho & Nick Gage) ever have a Death match for all Death matches. I’d never been hit before with a fluorescent light tube. When that got me, I don’t know what it is. I just watched it back the other day and it just smashed over my head but something dislodged in my head (he laughed). I was really not feeling good afterwards. I remember I didn’t want to hang out with anybody, I didn’t want to do anything. I just wanted to kind of go to my room and chill but I didn’t wanna go to sleep because I was scared I had a concussion. It was very strange.

For a lengthy portion of 2020, Jericho feuded with Orange Cassidy and they had a Mimosa Mayhem match at AEW All Out. Jericho sidetracked from his Dynamite matches to talk about that.

He mentioned that the match concept gets referred to as ‘crazy’ and/or ‘dumb’ but he feels it was the perfect match for that time during the pandemic.

We have three matches in the trilogy (with Orange Cassidy & myself). Of course, the last one was the Mimosa Mayhem. Still one of my favorite matches which you get like, ‘Oh! That’s so crazy. It’s so dumb.’ If you go back, it was the perfect match for that point in time during the pandemic when none of us knew what the hell was going on and we came up with something very cool…

This week on Dynamite, there is going to be a mandatory meeting with Jericho Appreciation Society members. Jericho has been called out by his faction for his association with Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita.
