G1 Climax 33 winner determined.
In the finals of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax 33 was Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champions clashed in a back-and-forth bout.
The conclusion of the match saw Naito connect with a ‘Destino’ to secure the win over his longtime rival.
Los Ingobernables de Japon (Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji & BUSHI) were present for Naito’s post-match speech and joined him in the ring.
With his victory, Naito has earned the right to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4th, 2024. Naito has to hold onto that right for the next four months. The current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is his former L.I.J. stable-mate SANADA.
