Zayn’s injury is confirmed.
Sami Zayn was supposed to tag with Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the main event of the August 7th WWE Raw. He was taken out by J.D. McDonagh beforehand.
After McDonagh attacked Zayn, a camera zoomed in on Zayn’s elbow and a photo of the swollen elbow circulated on social media. Zayn appeared on tonight’s Raw and defeated J.D. in singles competition. On commentary, Michael Cole confirmed that Zayn is dealing with traumatic olecranon bursitis.
