The idea of coming back to WWE is something Purrazzo said would depend on the circumstance.

Since returning to IMPACT Wrestling in 2020, Deonna Purrazzo has gone on to become a three-time Knockouts World Champion and she had a reign as Knockouts Tag Team Champion alongside Chelsea Green.

Purrazzo has gone on record on multiple occasions about her time in WWE and how she felt about the way it turned out. While guest appearing on episode #183 of Cultaholic’s Desert Island Graps, Purrazzo was asked if she’d be interested in a return to the company or to make an appearance like Mickie James did at the 2022 Royal Rumble

She explained that it’d depend on the circumstance. Purrazzo feels she’s been able to do some rehabilitation on her career since leaving WWE.

I don’t wanna say no (about a return to WWE) and I want to say yes but I also think that it’s kind of the circumstance of it. I think I’m in a place where I’ve done a lot of partial rehabilitation to my career in the last three years. I’ve been able to turn the tide of what people say about me in the conversations I’m in and submit my place in history and unfortunately, my first time in NXT and WWE did a lot of damage to that and so I think for me, it’s more about being cautious about maybe the situation I would be put in or something like that but I don’t wanna take it off the table because it is WWE and as a kid, I didn’t know any other wrestling. My dream was to become a WWE superstar and my dream has evolved many times over during my career but I think at the end of the day, it’s like, that’s something I’m gonna want to hold onto and say yes to. But I need to learn from my mistakes and do it differently if I was going to.

NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia stated that she is coming to the USA after a video aired of Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw calling her out for IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2 on August 20th. The match has not been officially announced, but Purrazzo expressed her excitement about possibly sharing the ring with Giulia.

I’m so excited (to potentially step into the ring with Giulia) and when I was told there was potential to do this, it was like, ‘Absolutely.’ That’s someone I need to wrestle and it’s someone when fans talk about a dream match, has consistently popped up over the last few years and I just think it’s cool to see that our paths have never crossed but we’ve been in so many similar places. Me in Japan, her coming to the States and winning a championship in Japan is something that eluded me, until now. So I get the opportunity to compete for the New Japan STRONG Women’s Championship. That’s something I want to check off my list of things I’ve always wanted to do. I never got to win a championship in STARDOM and now I have the possibility to from one of the top competitors there. It’s the perfect mix for me.

Going into IMPACT’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, Steve Maclin had to be pulled from the event due to a ‘serious injury’ he sustained during IMPACT’s tour of Australia.

Purrazzo provided an update on her husband and said he’s on his way to a return. She added that Maclin received good news from his doctor.

He’s good (Purrazzo said about Steve Maclin). He just saw the doctor yesterday and got some good news so he’s on the way up. He’s on his way to a return. I don’t know when that will be but, he’s on the up and up.

After Multiverse United, Purrazzo is going to be challenging Trinity Fatu for the Knockouts World Championship at Emergence on August 27th.
