Austin Theory will receive a future shot at the WWE United States Championship.
During Friday Night SmackDown, Theory beat LA Knight in an impromptu match where the winner would be granted a future title shot against Rey Mysterio.
The match evolved out of The Grayson Waller Effect involving guest Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar when Austin Theory interrupted and was confronted by Knight, who issued the challenge.

The Miz got involved during the match and led to a distraction when Knight clotheslined him to the floor, but Theory rolled up Knight and hooked the trunks for the three-count.
Mysterio became the United States Champion on last week’s episode of SmackDown when he beat Theory in Calgary, Alberta.
