The film is coming out in October.
A film about the late Antonio Inoki is scheduled to be released on October 6th, 2023. There will be roadshow theatrical releases and it’ll hit TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo. The film is being distributed by GAGA Corporation.
The likes of Kazuchika Okada, Shota Umino, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tatsumi Fujinami, Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Ryusuke Taguchi and Hirooki Goto are featured in the film.
Inoki’s movie consists of three parts. There is the documentary portion which is where Okada, Umino, Tanahashi, Fujinami and Fujiwara are featured. They’ll be speaking about what kind of person Inoki was and his influence. Another portion of the film is for rare footage and stills and there is also going to be reenactments with Goto and Taguchi in that crew of cast members.

Prior to Inoki’s passing in October 2022, NJPW President Takami Ohbari planned on inviting him to Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January to appear in front of the live crowd. The two sides previously reached an agreement so that Inoki could become the company’s Honorary Chairman for life.
