It was a full circle moment for Ivy Nile.

NXT’s latest USA Network special, Heatwave, aired on August 22nd. One of the matches that took place on the show was the TV in-ring debut of The Schism’s Ava (Simone Johnson). She lost to Ivy Nile via submission.

Coming off of her win, Nile joined Busted Open Radio and said there was pressure that came with having Ava’s first televised singles bout. She then added that it was a full circle moment because before joining WWE, she won NBC’s Titan Games show which was hosted by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

It was (a lot of pressure that came with wrestling Ava at NXT Heatwave)… It’s a crazy full circle, right? Because I was just with her dad a couple of years ago on this television show and then I ended up here and I’m wrestling his daughter. I was like, what is going on?

Ava was taken hostage at Heatwave. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) used her to get a Steel Cage match against The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) on 8/29. If The Creeds win, they’ll be reinstated in NXT.
