Satoshi Kojima wins AJPW’s Oudou Tournament, All Japan honors Terry Funk

Satoshi Kojima won All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Oudou (Royal Road) Tournament on Sunday.

The former Triple Crown & IWGP Heavyweight Champion won the tenth version of AJPW’s tournament by defeating Ryuki Honda in Sunday’s final.

Kojima’s road to the final saw him go through Rei Saito, and Takuya Nomura before today’s semi-finals and final.

Kojima advanced to the final by beating Shuji Ishikawa earlier in the evening.

Honda upset Triple Crown holder Yuma Aoyagi in the opening round and followed by beating multiple-time champions Kento Miyahara and Suwama to earn a birth in the final against Kojima.

Kojima beat Honda with a Cozy Lariat in seventeen minutes to win the tournament and will receive a Triple Crown title shot.

Past winners of the tournament include Kento Miyahara, Suwama, Jake Lee, Jun Akiyama, Go Shiozaki, and Akebono.
