AEW Dynamite sees no change in viewership, 8% decline in demo

AEW Dynamite came out of All In with a virtually identical viewership figure from the week prior while dropping in the main demographic.

The August 30 edition from Hoffman Estates averaged 871,000 viewers and 389,000 (0.30) in the 18-49 demographic, compared to 870,000 and 422,000 from the week prior. (Data: Brandon Thurston at Wrestlenomics).

It was Dynamite’s lowest 18-49 audience since August 9.

In the 18-49 demo, they fell 8% overall with a 20% drop among women in the demo at 111,000 and males falling 2% to 278,000 this week.

Adults 18-34 declined from 154,000 to 136,000 with a 22% drop among males (a two-week low) while women grew 11% in the demo (its highest in two weeks).

Adults 35-49 experienced a 6% drop to 253,000 this week with males increasing by 9% but women saw a drop from 92,000 to 59,000 this week.

In Canada, the show averaged 134,000 viewers and 74,600 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2 with viewership increasing by 15% and the demo rising by 9% this week. It was Dynamite’s most-watched episode in Canada since July 12 and ranked #4 among sports on Wednesday behind three MLB games.

The show followed the most successful event in AEW’s history with the All In card from Wembley Stadium in London, England, doubling as the go-home show for this Sunday’s All Out event in Chicago.
