Kelly notes that he’ll be leaving the position at some point.
For close to a decade, Kevin Kelly has been a commentator for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He is now the play-by-play commentator for AEW Collision on Saturdays.
New Japan wrapped up their G1 Climax 33 tournament on August 13th and are resuming events this Friday with their Destruction tour. Kelly was asked if he’s still with the company and on his X account, he noted that at some point, he will be gone from the role.
He plans on being on the call for NJPW Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9th, Wrestle Kingdom 18 and New Year’s Dash. Kelly added that he made the decision so he can be with his wife more.
I am at some point soon but I'll leave it to New Japan to announce it or not. I plan on calling Destruction at Ryogoku and Wrestle Kingdom/ New Year Dash https://t.co/NEvTokDVuP

My wife of 32 years said she doesn't want to be alone anymore so that's why I made the decision. https://t.co/NIIbr1wZjr
