WWE returned to India on Friday with a card at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.
It was the company’s first card in the country since 2017, which occurred shortly after Jinder Mahal lost the WWE Championship to AJ Styles after several months as its champion on the SmackDown brand.
This year’s “Superstar Spectacle” had a last-minute change when Becky Lynch was unable to leave the country when one of the pages of her passport was torn and could not fly to India. Due to the change, Natalya worked two matches on the card.
It was predominantly a Raw-branded show with a live SmackDown taking place tonight in Boston and included John Cena wrestling in the main event where he teamed with Seth Rollins.
WWE has not announced if this event will air in India through broadcast partner Sony Six and/or internationally through the WWE Network in the future.
Below are the results:
*Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn over Jinder Mahal & Indus Sher
*Natalya over Zoey Stark
*Gunther over Shanky
*Bron Breakker over Odyssey Jones
*Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley © over Natalya
*John Cena & Seth Rollins over Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci
