The challenge was issued by Bron.
At the end of the 9/5 NXT on USA Network, Bron Breakker put Von Wagner’s head against the base of the ring steps and smashed the top half of the steps against Wagner’s head. In an update on Wagner, NXT commentator Vic Joseph said he’s dealing with a skull fracture.
Breakker was called out to the ring by Baron Corbin on tonight’s program. Initially, it appeared that Corbin was going to scold Breakker for his actions but he was ultimately bringing Breakker to the ring to praise his actions. Breakker turned the tide by saying he did not do that for Corbin’s approval.
The two exchanged words and Breakker issued the challenge to Corbin for a match at No Mercy on September 30th. They slapped one another and had to be separated by security. Corbin versus Breakker is the fourth match announcement for No Mercy. Here’s the match card for the event:
