New addition to Destruction in Ryogoku.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Destruction tour is underway. The tour is wrapping up on October 9th with Destruction in Ryogoku.

A new championship match has been made official for the October 9th show and it’ll be a NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Title match. The champions Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii are putting their titles on the line against IMPACT Wrestling’s Josh Alexander and Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin).

Shelley and Sabin are former holders of the NJPW STRONG Tag Team Titles but they have not wrestled in Japan under the NJPW banner since 2016.

Shelley is the reigning IMPACT World Champion. Josh Alexander made his return to IMPACT at Slammiversary and put Shelley on notice.
