AEW Dynamite maintained its audience from last week’s episode and ranked first among cable originals on Wednesday.
The September 13 episode from Cincinnati was first among cable originals on Wednesday with 402,000 viewers (0.31) in the 18-49 demographic and averaged 888,000 viewers, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics & Sports TV Ratings.
The numbers were nearly identical to last week’s 887,000 viewers and 409,000 in the demo.
Adults 18-34 saw a minor increase from 155,000 to 162,000 and adults 35-49 fell from 254,000 to 240,000 this week.
Dynamite edged out NXT in 18-49, 18-34, and 35-49. However, the two programs were equal with females 18-49 as both averaged 117,000 on their respective nights.
In Canada, Dynamite averaged approximately 86,000 viewers and 50,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which were down from 104,000 and 56,000 respectively from last week.
Dynamite was headlined by the finals of the World Title Eliminator Tournament where Samoa Joe beat Roderick Strong to earn a championship match against MJF next week at Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
