Andrade El Idolo discusses recovery from torn pec injury, doing Charlotte Flair’s ‘Figure Eight’, flaming table spot

El Idolo touches on multiple topics. 

As a part of the launch of AEW Collision in June, Andrade El Idolo made his in-ring return on the debut episode of the program. He got engaged in a feud with House of Black and has picked up two wins over Buddy Matthews along with a DQ victory over Brody King

El Idolo had been sidelined with a pec injury. He guest appeared on the newest episode of AEW Unrestricted and spoke about his recovery from injury. Here are highlights from the podcast appearance: 

  • Andrade says it was hard coming back from his torn pec injury.
  • He dove into his history with Buddy Matthews.
  • Talks being a babyface now. El Idolo joked that he misses being booed, but he likes being a babyface. He called it ‘different’.
  • When it came time for the flaming table spot with Cody Rhodes, Andrade’s mindset was to just do it.
  • He spoke about the responsibility of being a part of Ric Flair’s Last Match. He was a bit scared and hoped everything went well.
  • El Idolo talked about him and Charlotte Flair doing each other’s moves. He brought up doing the Figure Eight and said it’s difficult to pull off.

Andrade is a member of La Faccion Ingobernable in AEW with Jose the Assistant, RUSH and Preston Vance.
