Lisa Marie Varon was contacted going into and coming out of Payback.
The subject of the latest episode of GAW TV with Mickie James, Lisa Marie Varon and SoCal Val was the Steel Cage match between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch at WWE Payback. Stratus joined them for the conversation.
As Trish was breaking down her thoughts about the match and collaborating with Becky, Marie Varon mentioned that Stratus contacted her and asked if she could use the ‘Widow’s Peak’ finisher that she did to Lynch at the Premium Live Event. She added that after the match, Lynch reached out and told her ‘thank you’ for being a part of it via her signature move.
It was really cool though you guys that she (Trish Stratus) called me like a couple weeks before and to ask if she could do the Widow’s Peak which a lot of people don’t really do that anymore and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Please. Do it, do it, do it.’ The only thing I have is she kicked out of it dammit.
And Becky Lynch actually DM’d me and she goes, ‘Thank you so much for being part of our match.’
The next Premium Live Event for WWE is Fastlane on October 7th from Indianapolis, Indiana.
Present day, Becky Lynch is the NXT Women’s Champion and she won the title from Tiffany Stratton on the 9/12 NXT on USA Network.
